Our Lift Team technicians take a load off your mind and your back. Their assistance with some of the “heavy lifting” has resulted in 50% fewer patient-lifting injuries – and a savings of $13 million in Workers’ Compensation claims for John Muir Health. This group of trained technicians is available during day, evening and night shifts to help with:
Lifting patients in and out of beds, wheel chairs, commodes, cars, off of floor, etc.
Reviving Code Blue and Code Gray patients
Performing CPR
Cleaning up hazardous materials
Transferring patients from helicopters
De-escalation training.
Members of the Lift Team also teach onsite classes, such as the back safety program, and volunteer for community events.
