Employees who receive an unsatisfactory performance rating will be automatically placed on performance probation for a period to be determined by the department director/manager. Performance probation serves as a warning to the employee that further problems will lead to disciplinary action, up to and including, termination. An employee is ineligible to transfer to another position or department while on probationary status.
