HIRING MANAGERS | REQUISITION APPROVALS
When you open a new requisition through Position Manager, you will need to circulate it to the appropriate director and VP for approval. After all approvals have been received, the Requisition will be marked as "**Approval Completed***" by the last approving party. If, for any reason, the requisition requires reassignment to someone other than a director and VP for approval, please contact your recruiter, who will be able to assist you.
In addition to the normal VP approval process for requisitions outlined above, Resource Justification Committee (RJC) approval is required for fixed benefited replacement positions and new fixed benefited positions. RJC approval is not required for variable positions (benefited, non-benefited, new or replacement), nor is it required for fixed per diem positions (new or replacement.) To determine variable or fixed status, please refer to your budget. Managers may submit an RJC Approval Form to Administration. RJC approval is also required for new consulting contracts, or renewal of existing consulting contracts. RJC meets twice per month, and has a process for expedited review where necessary.
