John Muir Health operates closed circuit television channels that provide education for staff members and for patients and their families.
Channel 17 provides scheduled programming about various topics required for staff education. Channel 17 will remain dark when there are no programs showing. When programming resumes, Directors/Managers are notified by memo.
Channel 26 provides scheduled programming to support healthcare providers in their efforts to improve healthcare outcomes through patient and family education. It plays from 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. each day. If you wish, you may view the program guide that is provided to the patients in their "pillow top packets."
Channel 12 is a patient video on-demand channel that enables healthcare providers to choose individual programs, currently shown on Patient Education Channel 26, in an on-demand format for their patients. This is an easy way to ensure that your patients receive high quality, relevant patient education in the privacy of their room at a time that is convenient to them. If you wish, you may view the program guide and instructions for using the on-demand service.
