John Muir Health, in partnership with TodayCare Children's Center, created the Wee Care childcare campus to provide a safe and nurturing environment for our employees' children who are in need of emergency or backup care.
Wee Care, located in the Nob Hill shopping center on Oak Grove Road in Walnut Creek (former site of Springfield Montessori), provides:
Backup childcare for children aged three months to 12 years, when your regular childcare or school is not available
Mildly ill childcare for children aged three months to 12 years, when their mild illness would prevent them from going to their regular childcare provider or school
Transitional infant care for infants six weeks and older, during a transitional period when their parent returns to work.
Hours of operation are now 6:15 to 8:00 p.m. except for the 4th Tuesday of every month; they close at 6:30 for a staff meeting. (You no longer have to call ahead of time to have your child stay until 8:00.)
