TIME OFF | MILITARY LEAVE

If you are a regularly scheduled full-time or part-time employee and a member of the National Guard or a reserve component of the armed forces, you are eligible for paid military leave. Generally, when you present your orders, you may be granted leave for:

  • Up to 10 paid days a year for annual active duty for military training, or
  • Up to 30 paid days when required to report for active duty.

For this leave time, you will be paid the difference between your regular compensation and your military pay.

You may take up to four years for active duty leave, and, upon request, for an additional one-year extension.

Details differ by department and by collective bargaining agreement. Please check the appropriate document for details appropriate to you.
