If you are a regularly scheduled full-time or part-time employee, you are eligible for up to 30 days of paid jury service each year.
For the days you are scheduled to work, John Muir Health will pay the difference between your regular straight time pay and the amount you earn while serving as a juror, excluding mileage. To obtain this benefit, you must submit a court issued statement of jury duty payment to the Payroll Department.
When you are called for jury duty, be sure to inform your supervisor of the date(s) you must report and, during your service, keep in touch with your supervisor about your anticipated date of return. You are expected to report to work on any full or partial day that you are excused from appearing in court.
