Through John Muir Health, you can participate in Reimbursement Accounts, which provide tax savings for your eligible out-of-pocket health care and dependent care expenses.
The Health Care Reimbursement Account allows you to direct from $100 up to $5,000 of your pay into the account each year on a pre-tax basis. You can use your account to reimburse yourself for eligible health care expenses, such as plan deductibles, copyaments and coinsurance, and IRS-approved items that aren’t covered by one of your plans, such as orthodontia or Lasik surgery.
The Dependent Care Reimbursement Account allows you to direct from $100 up to $5,000 of your pay each year into the account on a pre-tax basis. You can use your account to reimburse yourself for eligible dependent care expenses you incur so that you can work, such as baby sitting or day care.
